Welcome to Polka Dot Cow Designs. By placing an order through this website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are intended to ensure a clear and enjoyable purchasing experience while protecting both you as the customer and us as the maker of handcrafted artwork.

 

About Us

Polka Dot Cow Designs is the trading name of Agata Henderson Garden Design Ltd, creating original handmade fused glass artwork, stained glass, jewellery and decorative pieces from a studio in West London, United Kingdom.

 

Handmade Nature of Our Artwork

Every piece available from Polka Dot Cow Designs is individually handcrafted using traditional kiln-formed glass, stained glass and mixed media techniques.

Unlike mass-produced products, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Slight variations in colour, pattern, transparency, texture, shape, air bubbles and finish are a natural and celebrated characteristic of handmade glass art and are not considered defects.

Product photographs are intended to represent each piece as accurately as possible. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on individual screen settings and lighting conditions.

Where an item is described as One of a Kind, the exact artwork shown in the photographs is the piece you will receive.

Where an item is Made to Order or recreated, the finished artwork will closely resemble the original design but cannot be replicated exactly. Every piece is individually handcrafted, and the natural variations that occur during the making process are part of the beauty and authenticity of owning original artisan glass.

 

Choosing Your Artwork

We understand that purchasing original artwork is a personal decision.

If you would like additional photographs, videos, measurements or advice before purchasing, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We are always happy to help you choose the right piece for your home or to answer any questions before you place your order.

 

Product Information

Dimensions shown are approximate and may vary slightly due to the handmade nature of each piece.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, all items are intended for decorative use only.

Please read individual product descriptions carefully before purchasing.

 

Pricing

All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (£).

Prices include UK VAT where applicable.

Delivery charges are calculated separately and displayed during checkout before payment is completed.

Prices may change without notice, although confirmed orders will not be affected.

 

Ordering

Orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

After placing your order you will receive an email confirmation. This confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean it has been accepted.

In the unlikely event of a pricing error, stock discrepancy or technical issue, we reserve the right to cancel an order and provide a full refund.

 

Payment

Payment must be made in full before goods are dispatched.

Payments are processed securely using the payment methods available during checkout.

Polka Dot Cow Designs never stores your payment card details.

 

Made-to-Order and Commissioned Artwork

Made-to-order and commissioned pieces are individually created specifically for each customer.

Estimated production times are provided as guidance only and may occasionally vary due to the handmade process.

As every artwork is individually handcrafted, slight differences from previous versions or reference photographs should be expected and appreciated as part of owning original artisan work.

 

Delivery

All artwork is carefully packaged using protective materials to ensure it arrives safely.

Orders are dispatched using tracked and insured delivery services wherever possible.

Delivery times are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed once parcels are with the courier.

Risk passes to the customer once the parcel has been successfully delivered to the address provided.

Please inspect your order promptly upon arrival.

 

Damaged Items

In the unlikely event that your artwork arrives damaged, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

Please retain all packaging and provide photographs of:

• the outer packaging

• the inner packaging

• the damaged artwork

This information allows us to make a claim with the courier and arrange an appropriate resolution as quickly as possible.

 

Returns

Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected by these Terms and Conditions.

If you change your mind, eligible items may be returned within the period stated in our Returns Policy, provided they are unused, returned in their original condition and, where possible, in their original packaging.

Unless an item is faulty or has been supplied incorrectly, the cost of returning the item is the responsibility of the customer.

For your protection, we strongly recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service, as responsibility for the artwork remains with the customer until it has been safely received by us.

Once your returned item has been received and inspected, any refund due will be processed to your original payment method within 14 days.

For hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned unless they are faulty.

Made-to-order, personalised and commissioned artwork is created specifically for you and cannot normally be cancelled or returned unless faulty or not as described.

 

Care of Glass Artwork

Glass is a durable but fragile material and should be handled with care.

Avoid dropping the artwork or exposing it to sudden temperature changes.

Clean using a soft, lint-free cloth. If necessary, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately.

Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

 

Intellectual Property

All artwork, product designs, photographs, images, logos and written content displayed on this website remain the intellectual property of Polka Dot Cow Designs unless otherwise stated.

Artwork may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission.

The purchase of artwork does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights.

 

Limitation of Liability

Nothing within these Terms and Conditions limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection legislation.

Our liability for any claim relating to goods purchased through this website shall not exceed the purchase price of the item concerned.

 

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
